Some will look at the total credit limit on each account that you have. Some will look at the total number of cards, and the credit limit available to you, rather than your actual debt. The latter group is more concerned with your potential to go into debt than your reality. It's for this reason -- among others -- that you probably shouldn't fill your wallet with credit cards that you're not really using.
