Combination Accounts
A combination account is a fusion of a chequing and a savings account.

It might be a good choice for a person who wants ready access to money to cover the expenses of day-to-day living, but doesn't want to forfeit their ability to save. Combination accounts allow people to take their money out any time -- whether it be in person with a teller's assistance, at a bank machine, through the writing of a cheque or by direct payment. Generally, combination accounts don't earn interest unless a specified minimum balance is maintained.
